In the wake of the mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado, for some good perspective related to what will or should happen next with viewing movies in theaters, see this short piece by the main (or only) movie critic for The Star-Ledger in New Jersey.
My entry on Fiddler on the Roof that I posted yesterday was by no means intended to relate to the Aurora tragedy. It was in preparation for some time, and I opted to post it when I did due to practical realities. Moreover, there was, of course, coverage of many other things, in newspapers and other venues, on July 20 amid the heavy coverage of the shootings.
If I might add anything to all the public discussion on this matter, aside from the well-meaning-enough "We must come together as a nation at a time like this," it's that this country is also great for setting an example, or needing to, on how we can disagree. And of course that doesn't mean shooting up a theater full of people.
